This magnificent Persian Shiraz rug is an authentic expression of nomadic and tribal art. Originating from Persia, it has been skillfully hand-knotted using hand-carded wool, which provides a robust texture and an unparalleled richness of color. The cotton warp ensures solidity and durability for this artisanal piece.
Fascinating Design and Colors
The design features an impressive three-module central medallion, inlaid in a vibrant navy blue and outlined by light contours, standing out against the main field of a deep terracotta red. The medallion is enriched with stylized motifs and trees of life.
The field is an explosion of zoomorphic and geometric designs, with stylized birds and other figures dancing freely, creating an all-over design that captures the eye.
