This magnificent Kazak rug, originating from Afghanistan, is a splendid example of traditional craftsmanship. Made with hand-carded wool, it features a cotton warp, ensuring robustness and durability. Its density of approximately 100,000-150,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1.1 cm attest to its quality and meticulous weaving.
The design is characterized by a vibrant light green field, embellished with a large central medallion and numerous scattered geometric and tribal motifs. Dominant hues include vivid red, deep blue, and cream, which create a harmonious contrast with the green background. Multiple borders frame the rug precisely, each featuring its own distinctive geometric pattern.
The presence of slight color variations, known as abrash, is a hallmark of authenticity and natural wool dyeing, adding character and visual depth to the overall composition. Perfect for adding a touch of warmth and history to any environment, this Kazak rug is not just a furnishing item, but a piece of culture and tradition.
