This authentic Kazak rug, originating from Afghanistan, is a magnificent example of nomadic craftsmanship. Entirely made with hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it features a robust and durable weave, ideal for those seeking a piece of history and tradition.
The central field is characterized by three large, stepped geometric medallions in shades of blue, ocher yellow, and brown, elegantly arranged on a grey-green background, which displays a delicate abrash effect, a testament to natural dyeing and artisanal processing. The design is enriched with scattered stylized floral elements that create a lively and harmonious atmosphere.
The main border stands out with a vibrant sky blue, adorned with a sequence of stylized terracotta and beige rosettes alternated with geometric X motifs, framed by subtle secondary borders in dark brown and cream tones. This combination of colors and patterns gives the rug a distinctive energy and timeless appeal.
With a density of approximately 100,000-150,000 knots per square meter and a thickness of 1.1 cm, this Kazak is not only aesthetically pleasing but also incredibly durable and comfortable underfoot, perfect for adding a touch of authenticity and warmth to any setting, from classic to contemporary.
