This magnificent Kazak rug, originating from the traditional weaving areas of Afghanistan, is a true work of art that captures attention with its vibrant color palette and rich symbolism.
The main field, in a brilliant lime green, creates a luminous base for the numerous geometric medallions and motifs that adorn it. These designs, arranged in an all-over pattern, include stylized stars, polygons, and tribal figures, predominantly in intense red, deep blue, and accents of beige and black, typical of nomadic culture and the Ghilzai people.
The border is equally elaborate, with several bands that echo and enrich the motifs of the central field, alternating diamond patterns and small rosettes.
Hand-knotted from high-quality hand-carded wool, this rug exhibits excellent wear resistance and remarkable softness. The possible presence of abrash, slight variations in shade, is a hallmark of authenticity and the beauty of hand-knotted rugs made with natural or semi-natural dyes.
Perfect for adding a touch of warmth and personality to any setting, from the living room to the bedroom, this Kazak is more than just a rug: it's a piece of history and artisanal tradition. Its density of 100,000-150,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1.1 cm ensure durability and a pleasant feel underfoot. The cotton warp contributes to the structure's stability.
