This magnificent rug, a fine example of Nain Kashmar, originates from the renowned weaving centers of Persia. It represents an authentic work of art, born from a millennia-old tradition in rug weaving.
Its composition is an ode to quality: it is hand-knotted with hand-carded wool and silk, on a sturdy cotton warp. This combination ensures not only the extraordinary luster and softness typical of silk but also the resilience and durability of wool. The knot density, ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots per square meter, attests to the high craftsmanship and richness of the design details. With a thickness of 1.3 cm, it offers a pleasant texture and excellent wear resistance.
The design is a timeless classic: an elaborate central medallion, surrounded by a rich field decorated with finely detailed floral motifs and arabesques. Delicate volutes, palmettes, and vine scrolls extend harmoniously across the entire field, creating a "paradise garden" effect. The border, also richly ornamented, perfectly frames the main design, adding depth and prestige. The predominant colors are ivory, blue, and shades of beige/gold, which blend to create an atmosphere of refined sobriety and luxury.
A Nain Kashmar rug is more than just a decorative item; it is an investment in beauty and culture, capable of transforming any environment into a space of elegance and prestige.
