This Kilim, originating from Afghanistan, is an authentic expression of traditional textile art.
Made entirely with hand-carded wool, it features a cotton warp that ensures strength and durability. Its density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of just 0.3 cm make it a perfect example of a flatweave rug, light and resistant, ideal for various home environments.
The design is a vibrant geometric pattern, characterized by a large central diamond medallion, surrounded by a myriad of smaller geometric shapes like triangles and stacked lozenges. The color palette is extremely rich and lively: the grey-green background stands out, with accents of red, blue, yellow, beige, and touches of purple and orange.
