The Rubin rug is an authentic work of textile art originating from Pakistan. Crafted with precious hand-carded wool, on a cotton warp, this artifact combines robustness with a soft touch. Its remarkable density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm testifies to the high quality and artisanal care employed in its creation, with a thickness of 0.9 cm.
The dominant color is a deep ruby red, enriched by chromatic nuances that create a fascinating abrash effect, a distinctive sign of hand-knotted rugs. The traditional design features a central field with a succession of horizontal panels, each containing stylized geometric motifs and zoomorphic figures reminiscent of tribal iconography. Birds, possibly camels, and vegetal forms alternate harmoniously, creating a unique visual narrative.
A rich main border, flanked by minor frames, encloses the all-over design, emphasizing its structure and complexity. Secondary colors, such as ocher, turquoise, green, and blue, stand out vividly against the red background, giving the rug a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Rubin is a perfect element to enrich any environment with a touch of exoticism and history, a true jewel of tradition.
