This magnificent Persian Tabriz rug, originating from Persia, is a superb example of traditional knotting art. Featuring an elaborate central medallion composition, it encloses a rich floral design that spreads harmoniously across the entire scarlet red field. The vibrant colors, such as the navy blue of the border and the delicate tones of beige and light blue in the leaves and petals, create a captivating contrast and an atmosphere of profound elegance.
Crafted from high-quality hand-carded wool (on a cotton warp), every detail is finely executed, revealing a density of approximately 160,000-200,000 knots per square meter, a testament to the artisanal skill. The border, also richly decorated with stylized motifs, masterfully frames the central scene.
A Tabriz is more than just a rug; it is a work of art that adds warmth, history, and sophistication to any setting, from a classic living room to a more modern study, becoming a striking visual focal point.
