This splendid Baluch rug, originating from Persia, is a testament to the craftsmanship and rich tradition of nomadic peoples. Entirely made with hand-carded wool for the pile and a cotton warp, it features a density of approximately 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 0.6 cm, ensuring durability and a pleasant texture to the touch.
The design is distinguished by a central field dominated by a fascinating "mihrab" structure, which frames a succession of octagonal and rhomboidal geometric medallions arranged in an all-over pattern. The deep colors, such as the dark blue of the background, the intense red, and the rust tones of the motifs, are cleverly balanced by accents of ivory and green in the border and mihrab area, creating a captivating visual contrast. The outer border is adorned with star and diamond motifs that reflect the simplicity and depth of tribal art.
Each knot tells a story, making this Baluch not just a furnishing element, but also a piece of history and culture. Perfect for adding a touch of warmth and authenticity to any environment, from traditional rooms to modern spaces seeking a distinctive contrast.
