The Shayan rug, originating from Pakistan, is a work of art that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern design. Made with hand-carded wool, it features a dense and robust weave (160,000-200,000 knots/sqm), ensuring durability and exceptional comfort. The cotton warp contributes to its structural stability.
What is striking about this Shayan is its minimal and sophisticated design. A field of intense terracotta red is interrupted in the center by a rectangle that presents a different texture, creating a subtle vertical striped effect. This variation in weaving or pile direction catches the light uniquely, giving depth and dynamism to the rug without overwhelming it.
The use of hand-carded wool and traditional dyeing techniques results in slight color variations, known as abrash, which enrich the rug's surface and enhance its authenticity. With a thickness of 1.6 cm, it offers a soft and welcoming feel, ideal for contemporary environments seeking a warm yet refined atmosphere. Perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, or studies, where a sober yet distinctive touch of color can make a difference.
