This magnificent Lori rug, originating from Persia, is an authentic expression of nomadic textile art. Each piece is a unique work, hand-knotted with skill and passion.
Its composition boasts a pile made of hand-carded wool, which provides exceptional robustness and a pleasant texture to the touch, while the warp is cotton, ensuring stability and durability. The knot density ranges between 160,000 and 200,000 knots per square meter, a testament to the high quality of craftsmanship. With a thickness of approximately 1.2 cm, it offers remarkable comfort and a warm feeling.
The design is characterized by a succession of prominent rhomboid medallions in the center, enriched with complex geometric patterns and tribal stylizations. The color palette is dominated by a deep bordeaux red, interspersed with elegant indigo (dark blue) accents and cream and white details, creating a vibrant and captivating contrast. Slight color variations (abrash) can be observed, a distinctive sign of rugs dyed with natural colors and hand-knotted.
The main border features a continuous and repetitive motif, harmoniously framing the central field, adding depth and character. Ideal for enriching any environment with a touch of history and warmth, the Lori rug is an investment in beauty and tradition.
