This splendid Nain 9La rug, originating from the renowned region of Persia, is a textile work of art that embodies the tradition and mastery of expert knotters. Its composition is a perfect blend of precious materials: it is hand-knotted from hand-carded wool and silk, with a cotton warp, ensuring a soft touch surface and a distinctive luster, typical of silk.
The design stands out with a magnificent central medallion, richly adorned with stylized floral motifs, immediately capturing attention. This medallion is surrounded by an elaborate open-field floral design, consisting of elegant arabesques, palmettes, tendrils, and stylized leaves, which extend harmoniously across a vibrant cerulean blue field. The border, in a refined cream/ivory tone, features smaller floral motifs and delicate bands that beautifully frame the rug, creating a balanced and sophisticated visual contrast.
The fineness of the craftsmanship is evidenced by the high knotting density, ranging between 400,000 and 450,000 knots per square meter, contributing to the clarity of the design and the rug's durability. With a thickness of 1 centimeter, it offers a pleasant feeling underfoot while maintaining an elegant profile. A Nain is more than just a rug; it is a piece of Persian history and culture, capable of enriching any environment with its intrinsic beauty and the atmosphere it evokes.
