This magnificent Ardakan rug, originating from Persia, is an authentic hand-knotted work of art that carries with it the rich Oriental manufacturing tradition. Made with hand-carded wool, it features a soft texture and exceptional resistance to wear, characteristics that guarantee its longevity. The cotton warp ensures stability and durability.
The design is dominated by an elaborate central medallion, framed by pendants extending towards the corners, which are also finely decorated. The entire field is richly adorned with stylized floral motifs, typical of the Persian tradition, arranged with great harmony and detail. The color palette is vibrant and captivating, with an intense red as the main color, enriched by shades of navy blue, light blue, and details in ivory and gold that enhance its complexity.
With a density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of approximately 1 cm, this Ardakan offers not only a refined aesthetic but also a pleasant feel and good acoustic insulation. The occasional color variation, or "abrash," is a testament to the authenticity of the natural dyeing process and artisan craftsmanship, giving each piece a unique and unrepeatable character. Ideal for enriching classic environments or adding a touch of exotic elegance to more modern spaces.
