Immerse yourself in the rich Persian artisanal tradition with this magnificent Gorawan rug. Originating from the Gorawan region in Persia, this piece embodies the authenticity and mastery of tribal rugs, combining robustness and beauty in a timeless textile work of art.
The design is dominated by a large central geometric medallion, finely outlined and made prominent by the chromatic contrast with the main field. The field is adorned with a series of stylized geometric and floral motifs, typical of the Gorawan tribal style, which extend harmoniously across the entire field. The border, in a deep dark blue, elegantly frames the rug, featuring cartouches and stylized stars that echo the main motif and reinforce its visual structure.
The chromatic palette is vibrant, with a predominance of intense red in the field, balanced by the night blue of the border and ivory, golden yellow, green, and light blue details that enrich the designs. The use of hand-carded wool for the pile and cotton for the warp ensures not only an extraordinary softness to the touch but also exceptional durability. Each color variation (abrash) is a testament to the use of natural dyes and the artisanal process, giving the rug a unique and authentic character.
With a density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of approximately 1 cm, this rug has been hand-knotted with great care, ensuring high resistance and the ability to withstand time and wear. It is an ideal piece to add a touch of exoticism and warmth to a living room, dining room, or a more formal setting.
