This magnificent Kazak runner is a textile work of art from the traditional artisan workshops of Afghanistan. Hand-knotted with mastery, it features a lively and richly symbolic design, typical of nomadic and tribal culture.
The pattern is dominated by a series of large geometric medallions, interspersed with stylized motifs and abstract floral details. The color palette, while delicate with an elegant light beige background, comes alive with shades of deep blue, burnt terracotta, mint green, and ocher. The hand-carded wool gives the pile exceptional softness and resistance, enriched by a slight abrash that testifies to the use of natural dyes and the authenticity of the knotting process.
With a density of approximately 100,000-150,000 knots/sqm and a pile height of 1.1 cm, this runner offers robustness and durability ideal for high-traffic areas. Its generous thickness and entirely wool composition (with a cotton warp) make it comfortable and insulating.
Perfect for hallways, entryways, or as a distinctive element in any room, this Kazak runner is not just a rug, but a piece of history and tradition capable of infusing warmth and character into your home.
