This splendid Nadjafabad rug, originating from Persia, is a sublime expression of Persian knotting art. The design features a majestic polygonal central medallion, beautifully adorned and framed by four cartouches extending towards the corners. The field is a vibrant red, animated by an elegant all-over design of stylized palmettes, rosettes, and flowering tendrils that gracefully spread. Delicate shades of blue, beige, black, and ivory create a harmonious contrast and visual depth.
