This magnificent Gorawan rug, originating from Persia, is an authentic expression of tribal textile art. Made with hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, each knot encapsulates the history and mastery of ancient traditions.
Its design is dominated by a large central diamond-shaped medallion, finely stylized with geometric and angular motifs. This medallion rests on a vibrant red/terracotta field, densely adorned with a myriad of small stylized motifs that harmoniously fill the space. The corner spandrels, elegantly echoing the medallion's design, balance the overall composition. The multi-layered border frames the entire piece with floral and geometric patterns on a dark background, creating a captivating visual contrast.
The color palette is rich and deep, featuring shades of red, intense blue, cream, and brown, sometimes enriched by slight tonal variations (abrash) that testify to the use of natural dyes and the uniqueness of each piece.
With its density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm, this rug is not just a decorative object, but an investment in a lasting work of art, capable of infusing warmth and character into any environment. Ideal for living rooms, dining rooms, or studies, it will bring a touch of Persian elegance and history into your home.
