This magnificent Kashan rug, originating from Persia, embodies the elegance and richness of traditional Persian craftsmanship. Its chromatic composition and intricate floral design make it a timeless work of art, capable of enriching any environment with a touch of nobility and warmth.
The central motif is dominated by a large and magnificent medallion, finely designed with volutes and palmettes, which immediately captures attention. The field, in a delicate cream color, is elegantly adorned with an all-over design of dense floral motifs: sinuous vines, stylized flowers, palmettes, and rosettes, which harmoniously unfold around the central medallion. Shades of blue and touches of red and ochre add depth and vibrancy to the design.
The rich border system frames the composition with a series of decorative bands. The main band features a succession of floral cartouches and rosette motifs, while the narrower secondary bands echo minor floral and geometric elements, creating an effect of great balance and refinement.
Handcrafted from hand-spun wool, this rug is an example of artisanal mastery. The cotton warp ensures robustness and durability. With a knot density ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1.2 cm, it offers a soft yet durable texture, combining aesthetic beauty with practicality and comfort.
A Kashan is more than just a rug; it's a piece of history and culture, an investment in beauty that lasts over time.
