The Ardakan Rug: A Persian Masterpiece
This splendid Ardakan rug, hailing from the renowned artisanal tradition of Persia, is a textile work of art that captivates with its richness of detail and vibrant colors. The central design is dominated by a polychrome medallion standing out against the brilliant red field, adorned with an elaborate all-over design of stylized floral motifs, including palmettes, rosettes, and sinuous vines. The main border, in dark blue, beautifully frames the field with a further series of floral decorations echoing the central motif, creating impeccable visual harmony.
