This magnificent Kashan rug, originating from Persia, embodies the essence of Persian knotting art. Crafted with hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it presents impeccable artisanal quality and remarkable durability. Its knot density, ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots per square meter, testifies to the fineness of the details and the complexity of the design.
The central field, in a harmonious ivory hue, is beautifully adorned with an elaborate floral medallion design. Scrolling motifs, palmettes, and stylized blossoms gracefully unfold, creating a visual effect of great depth. The color palette is dominated by deep blue and light blue, enriched by vibrant accents of ochre and burgundy that define the floral details and the medallion's contours. The border, also finely ornamented, completes the design with a series of cartouches and floral motifs that echo the field.
With a thickness of 1.2 cm, this rug offers a pleasant feel underfoot and excellent wear resistance. Every detail is meticulously crafted, from the use of natural dyes that may produce an abrash effect (slight color variations that enhance its authenticity) to the precision of the knotting. A work of art that brings warmth and sophistication to any classic or modern setting, carrying with it the history and charm of Persia.
