The Malka rug is a superb expression of Pakistani textile art, the result of entirely manual craftsmanship that guarantees its uniqueness and superior quality. Made from hand-carded wool, with a cotton warp, it features a high density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of approximately 0.9 cm, which provide robustness and an unmistakable softness to the touch.
Its design is a fascinating interpretation of traditional motifs. The main field, in a delicate beige color, is animated by an elegant scattered medallion design and stylized floral motifs, gracefully distributed across the entire surface. Dominant shades include accents of deep blue, ochre, and delicate pink hues, creating a harmonious and vibrant contrast. The border is finely decorated with a series of geometric and floral motifs that elegantly frame the rug, enhancing its composition. The use of traditional dyeing techniques can generate slight color variations, known as "abrash," which add depth and character to the piece.
Perfect for enriching classic or modern interiors with a touch of ethnic authenticity, the Malka is not just a piece of furniture, but a piece of history and culture, capable of transforming any space into an oasis of warmth and beauty.
