This Kilim Mazandaran Vintage is a magnificent example of traditional weaving originating from Persia. Crafted with artisanal mastery, it captures the essence of Persian culture and textile art. Its composition of hand-carded wool, with a cotton warp, guarantees a robust and pleasant texture to the touch, reflecting the care and quality of natural materials.
The design features a unique aesthetic, characterized by two distinct but harmonious vertical panels, precisely joined. Both sides are enriched by a succession of horizontal stripes in natural tones: white, various shades of brown, and beige. On the left side, the stripes show a slight irregularity in widths and shades, with a fascinating abrash effect that testifies to the natural dyeing of the wool and the manual work. The right side features more uniform stripes, creating a balanced and refined visual contrast.
With a density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 0.3 cm, this kilim is not just a decorative object but a functional and durable piece. Its vintage nature and tribal style make it a perfect element to add warmth and character to any environment, from a modern home to a more rustic setting. A textile work of art that embodies history and charm.
