This magnificent Kashamr Zirkhaki rug, originating from Persia, is a sublime expression of traditional Persian textile art. Characterized by a richness of detail and a chromatic depth that captivates the eye, it represents a piece of great value and beauty.
The main field, in an intense navy blue or indigo, is beautifully adorned with a complex central medallion design. From it radiate intricate stylized floral motifs, branches, leaves, and a multitude of ornamental vases, rich in details and vibrant colors such as sky blue, beige, ochre, and red. The central medallion itself features light tones of ivory and sky blue, creating a harmonious contrast with the dark background.
The main border, in a vibrant Persian red, is also embellished with a sequence of cartouches, vases, and floral motifs, elegantly framing the central field. The complexity of the design and the precision of the knotting are a testament to the artisan skill of Persian master weavers.
Made with high-quality hand-carded wool for the pile and a cotton warp, this rug boasts a high knot density, ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots per square meter, giving it robustness and extraordinary design definition. The thickness of approximately 1 cm ensures excellent wear resistance and pleasant underfoot comfort. The possible presence of abrash, slight color variations due to the natural dyeing of the wool, adds further character and authenticity to this work of art.
A Kashamr Zirkhaki rug is more than just a floor covering; it is a piece of history and culture, capable of transforming any environment with its timeless elegance and oriental charm.
