This magnificent Sarough rug, originating from Persia, is a textile masterpiece that enchants with its rich details and vibrant colors. The design features an imposing, complex-shaped central medallion, framed by elaborate pendants and corner spandrels that echo its intricate curves.
The main field, characterized by a refined all-over pattern, is densely populated with stylized floral motifs, including rosettes and palmettes, harmoniously distributed. These floral details also continue within the medallion and spandrels, creating visual harmony. The majestic multiple border is adorned with sequences of botanical and geometric motifs, elegantly framing the rug's center.
The color palette is dominated by intense shades of burgundy red and dark blue in the field, beautifully balanced by lively accents of cream and beige in the central medallion and corners.
