This authentic Lori rug, originating from Persia, is a magnificent example of ancient nomadic textile tradition. Masterfully hand-knotted using hand-carded wool, it features a cotton warp that ensures strength and durability. Its density, ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm, attests to the high quality and fineness of its execution.
The design is characterized by imposing cascading geometric medallions, richly decorated with minute, stylized motifs, typical of the Lori tribal style. The color palette, dominated by a deep garnet red and midnight blue, is cleverly punctuated by cream accents and darker details. The color variation within the same hue, known as abrash, is visible and adds authenticity and uniqueness to the artifact, revealing the use of natural dyes and artisanal skill.
The borders are marked by repeated geometric bands that harmoniously frame the central field. With a thickness of approximately 1.2 cm, this rug is not just a decorative element but an investment in a piece of Persian history and culture, capable of adding warmth and character to any room.
