This magnificent Lori rug, originating from Persia, is an authentic expression of nomadic textile art. Entirely hand-knotted, it features a robust structure of hand-carded wool, with a cotton warp, ensuring durability and a pleasant tactile feel.
The rug stands out for its all-over pattern, characterized by a series of harmoniously repeating geometric hexagonal/octagonal medallions. Each medallion encloses stylized motifs rich in tribal significance. The color palette is dominated by a deep red and a profound dark blue, enriched by earthy brown shades and cream accents in the elaborate border, which elegantly frames the central field. The use of natural hand-carded wool enhances the depth of the colors, often showcasing the characteristic "abrash" effect, which gives the rug a unique and vibrant character.
With a density of approximately 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1.2 cm, this rug is not only a decorative element but a lasting investment, capable of imparting warmth and authenticity to any environment. Its rectangular shape makes it versatile for various living spaces.
