This magnificent Lori rug, originating from Persia, is an authentic expression of nomadic textile art. Hand-knotted from hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it embodies the inherent robustness and beauty of tribal rugs.
Its all-over design features a succession of large lozenge medallions, outlined by zig-zag lines and adorned with stylized, symbolic motifs. The color palette is dominated by a deep burgundy, elegantly paired with shades of dark blue and accents of cream, creating a captivating visual contrast. Each color tells a story, with the natural variations typical of abrash, a hallmark of artisanal dyeing.
With a density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1.2 cm, this rug is not just a decorative element, but a piece of Persian history and tradition, capable of bringing warmth and character to any space, from classic to contemporary.
