This splendid Lori rug, originating from Persia, is an authentic expression of nomadic art. Crafted from hand-carded wool, it features a robust structure and a pleasant feel. Its weaving is dense, with approximately 160,000-200,000 knots per square meter, ensuring durability and value.
The design is characterized by three large central diamond medallions that dominate the intense red field. These medallions are intricately worked with geometric motifs and details that evoke tribal symbolism. On the sides of the main field, one can observe triangular patterns and stylized floral elements, while the outer frame is composed of a series of borders decorated with zigzag geometric designs and rosettes.
The color palette is vibrant and traditional: a ruby red serving as the background, enriched by deep shades of indigo blue and accents of cream and dark brown. The inherent abrash, or slight color variations due to the natural dyeing of the wool, adds depth and character, making each piece unique.
Perfect for bringing a touch of warmth and history to any environment, this Lori rug is not just a furnishing element but a textile work of art that embodies centuries of tradition and craftsmanship.
