This magnificent rug, originating from Persia and known as "Lori", is an authentic expression of ancient nomadic textile art. Lori rugs are woven by the eponymous nomadic and semi-nomadic tribes, renowned for their skill in creating robust works of art imbued with cultural significance.
Crafted from high-quality hand-carded wool with a cotton warp, this rug boasts a density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm, ensuring exceptional durability and resistance to wear. Its thickness of 1.2 cm contributes to a cozy and comfortable atmosphere in any room.
The design is a splendid example of tribal geometric style. Along the central axis, three large diamond-shaped medallions are interconnected, bordered by a white zig-zag pattern that enhances their geometry. Each medallion encloses a stylized star design with red and dark blue elements. The field is dominated by a deep garnet red color, which displays subtle variations in shade (abrash), testifying to the artisanal nature of the dyeing process. Dark blue and cream complete the palette, outlining the motifs and borders. Zig-zag patterns and small hook designs fill the negative spaces, creating an all-over design that is both dynamic and harmonious.
An ideal piece to enrich living rooms, studies, or any space with a touch of history and warmth.
