This magnificent Ardakan rug, originating from the renowned region of Persia, embodies the essence of traditional Persian textile art. Crafted with hand-carded wool, the artifact boasts exceptional softness and remarkable durability over time.
At its heart lies an elaborate central medallion, with sinuous forms and embellished by a rich repertoire of stylized floral motifs, such as palmettes, rosettes, and tendrils. The field is densely populated by an all-over design of botanical motifs, arranged with harmony and precision, creating a visually impactful effect. The color palette is dominated by a vibrant red, a deep navy blue, and elegant touches of ivory and light blue, which accentuate the complexity of the details. The "abrash" effect in the coloring, typical of handcrafted items, adds character and uniqueness.
The sumptuous frame, composed of multiple borders decorated with minute floral and geometric motifs, defines and enhances the central design, adding depth and grandeur to the entire composition. Each knot, between 160,000 and 200,000 per square meter, has been masterfully tied, bearing witness to skills passed down through generations. The cotton warp ensures the robustness of the structure.
With a thickness of 1 cm, this Ardakan is not merely a furnishing element but a work of art that brings warmth and prestige to any environment, enriching the atmosphere with its history and unmistakable beauty.
