This magnificent Lori rug, originating from Persia, is an authentic expression of tribal textile art. Crafted with hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it boasts a density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1.2 cm, ensuring both robustness and a pleasant tactile feel.
The design is dominated by bold geometric medallions arranged in an all-over pattern, characteristic of Lori rugs. Each medallion is richly detailed with internal triangular and "sawtooth" motifs, creating a powerful visual impact. The primary colors are a deep burgundy red, dark blue, and cream, which combine to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The use of natural dyes is evident in the noticeable "abrash," which adds character and depth to the surface.
The borders feature stylized geometric patterns that elegantly frame the central field, completing the piece's tribal aesthetic. This rectangular rug is more than just a decorative item; it is a fragment of Persian history and tradition, capable of enriching any space with its presence.
