Ardakan, a name that evokes the richness of Persian textile tradition, presents a rug of extraordinary beauty and craftsmanship. This specimen is a tribute to the mastery of Persian weavers, a work of art that transforms any room, imbuing it with an atmosphere of elegance and history.
The design is dominated by an elaborate central medallion, which stands out against a predominantly red field. This field is enriched by an all-over design of scrolling vines, palmettes, and rosettes, dancing harmoniously. The color palette is vibrant: the intense red of the field blends with the dark blue of the medallion and main border, while touches of cream, light blue, and ochre illuminate the floral details. The border, also densely decorated with stylized floral motifs, magnificently frames the central design, creating an impeccable visual balance. The abrash effect, where present, adds depth and character, testifying to the beauty of natural dyes.
Crafted with traditional Persian mastery, this rug is hand-knotted using hand-carded wool, known for its softness and resilience. The cotton warp ensures stability and durability, making it a valuable investment destined to last over time.
With a density of 160,000-200,000 knots per square meter and a thickness of 1 centimeter, it offers a comfortable texture and high definition of details, a testament to the high quality of its workmanship.
