This splendid Nain Kashmar rug, originating from Persia, is a magnificent example of oriental craftsmanship. Made with hand-carded wool and silk on a cotton warp, it boasts a density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1.3 cm. Its robustness and fine workmanship make it a durable and valuable piece.
The design features a majestic central medallion radiating across a dark-ground field, adorned with an abundance of elegant floral motifs. Arabesques, palmettes, rosettes, and leaves intertwine harmoniously, creating a sumptuous atmosphere. The rich border, framing the main field, reprises and amplifies the floral details, enhancing the design's complexity.
The predominant colors are the dark night blue of the central field, which beautifully contrasts with the cream and ivory tones of the patterns, enriched by accents of light blue and gray. This chromatic combination lends the rug timeless elegance and the ability to perfectly integrate into both classic and contemporary environments, adding a touch of sophistication and luxury.
