This authentic Lori rug originates from the ancient textile traditions of Persia, an area renowned for its artisanal excellence. Each piece in the Lori collection is hand-knotted, testifying to a craftsmanship passed down through generations.
The predominant motif is an all-over design characterized by a series of large, interconnected diamond-shaped medallions adorned with stylized geometric patterns. The color palette features a vibrant burgundy red background, with details in dark, almost black, blue and ivory or cream accents outlining the designs. Natural color variations, known as abrash, are visible and add depth and character to the rug, highlighting the use of natural dyes and the uniqueness of each piece.
The robust structure of this rug is guaranteed by the use of hand-carded wool for the pile and a cotton warp, which provide remarkable resistance and softness to the touch. The knot density ranges between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm, with a thickness of approximately 1.2 cm, parameters that attest to its quality and durability.
A Lori is not just a rug, but a piece of history and culture, capable of infusing warmth and authenticity into any environment, from classic to more contemporary settings.
