This splendid Ghom rug, originating from Persia, is a sublime expression of knotting art. Crafted entirely from very fine silk, it is a luxurious artifact that captivates with its luster and incredible softness, making it a true jewel for any setting. The choice of silk for both the pile and the warp ensures exceptional resistance and durability, in addition to a brilliance that changes with the incidence of light.
The design features a classic mihrab motif, a stylization of the prayer arch, enriched by a lush floral garden. Motifs include finely detailed rosettes, stylized leaves, and a refined floral vase from which forms seem to sprout, recalling the elegance and serenity of Persian paradise gardens. The color palette is dominated by a deep midnight blue, serving as a backdrop for vibrant accents of red, antique pink, sky blue, and delicate cream, creating a high-impact and harmonious visual contrast.
The artisan craftsmanship is revealed in the exceptional knot density, ranging between 800,000 and 900,000 knots per square meter, a testament to its superb quality and design complexity. The slim thickness, only 0.3 centimeters, highlights the fineness of the work and the compactness of the pile. Each knot is a small masterpiece that contributes to forming a unique piece, adding a touch of timeless elegance and inestimable value to any environment, be it classic or contemporary.
