This splendid Nimbaft rug, originating from the ancient lands of Persia, is a work of art that embodies centuries of manufacturing tradition. Characterized by a vibrant shade of terracotta red, the central field is expertly divided into a series of geometric squares, each housing a distinct design, ranging from stylized floral motifs to complex geometric knots, enriched with accents of blue, green, and beige.
The rich border, framing the central field, features an alternation of decorative bands. The main band, on a cream or beige background, displays a series of symmetrically arranged stylized elements, while narrower borders introduce meander motifs and more elaborate forms, creating a harmonious chromatic and structural contrast. The presence of a slight abrash in the red hues attests to the authenticity and artisanal processing with natural dyes.
Crafted with hand-carded wool for the pile and a cotton warp, this rug offers a robust texture and an inviting softness. Its knot density, estimated between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm, ensures remarkable durability and extraordinary definition of design details. With a thickness of approximately 0.9 cm, it is a furnishing accessory that combines aesthetics and practicality, ideal for adding warmth and character to any environment, from classic to contemporary.
