This magnificent Bidjar hall runner, originating from the Persia region, embodies the strength and beauty of Kurdish textile tradition. Known as "the iron rug" for its exceptional durability, every Bidjar is a work of art woven with mastery and pride.
The design features a series of conjoined geometric diamond medallions that dominate the central field. These medallions, in an intense dark burgundy, almost black, tone, are richly decorated with stylized and abstract floral motifs, typical of Bidjar iconography. The surrounding field, a vibrant warm red-orange, is skillfully filled with an all-over design of small stylized floral motifs that create a captivating visual harmony. The borders, also in dark tones, are embellished with a classic pattern of palmettes and intertwining vines.
The hand-carded wool used for the pile gives the rug a natural luster and extraordinary resistance. The presence of abrash is noticeable, slight color variations that attest to the authenticity and artisanal processing of naturally dyed wool, adding depth and character to the piece. With a density of approximately 400,000-450,000 knots per square meter and a thickness of 1.4 cm, this hall runner is not only beautiful but also incredibly robust and comfortable.
Perfect for hallways or entryways, this Bidjar hall runner is a timeless investment that will bring a touch of authentic Persian elegance to any setting, enduring gracefully over time.
